blink-182 Start Recording New Album

Tom DeLonge confirmed today on his Instragram that blink had started rehearsals for their new album. DeLonge posted 3 throwback images of the trio with the caption "Rehearsals start today... And yes there will be a new album." Mark Hoppus spoke recently about the follow-up to 2011′s Neighborhood stating that “Once we start, it moves, it’s like painting, you know? You’ve just got to start with that first brushstroke, and get your clothes off, and get the other person’s clothes off, get a little bit of feces, smear it around. Just get going.”

Wait , wut?

This will be the band's first release since their so-so 2012 EP Dogs Eating Dogs, which we gave a 5/10. Here's hoping for a stronger effort this time around.

The band will hit UK shores this Summer, playing two warm-up shows on the 6th and 8th of August at the o2 Academy Brixton, followed by headlining slots at Reading & Leeds Festival.
